LNER A3 Class #60103 “Flying Scotsman” celebrated its 93rd birthday with a return to main line rails after a very substantial and lengthy overhaul.
The LNER legend travelled “light” from its York base down to London on 24th February 2016 and then travelled north the following day with a charter special.
The top image shows Scotsman at Peterborough station on the way down and the lower three images were taken near Helpston on the northbound charter train.
