One of the last views of the end of Cowgate before massive redevelopment took place involving Bourges Boulevard and the main Crescent Roundabout.
The road straight ahead was the old route down to the level crossing that closed some sixty years earlier and the road to the right, behind the building, would have placed you on Station Road or St Leonards Street. The building itself, now buried under the roundabout, was the Peterborough Hotel.
