A letter dated 1892 addressed to Francis Jerrard, Corn Merchant, Peterborough …… which was evidently enough for safe delivery in those days !
Shepton Mallet, Somerset born Francis moved to Peterborough in the 1870s with his wife, Fanny, to operate as a corn merchant based at East Osford Villas on Lincoln Road near to the city.
