An old glass medicine bottle marked as FW Whitwell – Pharmacist. Peterborough born Frederick William Whitwell ran his pharmacy in Millfield at 283 Lincoln Road which, in 2013, was occupied by the “Peterborough Tanning Hut” !
Frederick’s father, Ewen Whitwell, was also a pharmacist at 10 Lincoln Road dating back to the 1850s.
