Two cash receipts (1902/1903) from George C Caster of Market Place who was a printer, bookseller and stationer based immediately to the right of the main gates to the cathedral grounds.
George Coborn Caster was a true cockney gent, born in Bow, London in 1850 but married to a “local” Northants girl Mary Jane in 1879. The 1881 census shows Caster living at East View, Fletton and employing “2 men, 5 boys, 1 woman” in his printing business !
