On 25th May 1975, a team from Peterborough took part in the popular BBC gameshow “Its A Knockout”.
The heat took part in Cambridge at Cambridge United FC’s ground and featured the home team plus Peterborough and Oxford in front of a sellout 15,000 crowd. After the dramas of the team bus breaking down on the A1, the Peterborough side finished third (and last !) and failed to win and progress in the tournament.
