Locals gathering to ponder the imminent demise of Narrow (Bridge) Street in 1927 ? On the left is the boarded up premises of printers Caster & Jelley sitting alongside the popular Toy Shop offering a “rebuilding sale”. Both were about to be demolished to widen Bridge Street into the familiar format of today where these two businesses would be in front of the Nat West Bank building.
