Narrow Street – 1920s

Looking from Market Square down the aptly named Narrow Street which has been decorated in readiness for the visit of Edward, Prince of Wales in the late 1920s.

The convoy of vehicles in the distance struggling towards the camera underlined the need to widen the road in the era of motorised transport.
