A4 Pacific 4498 Sir Nigel Gresley awaiting departure from Peterborough North on 23rd July 1967 with a special excursion train that was clearly of great interest to the massed ranks of enthusiasts. The engine remains in steam in 2010 and has made several journeys through the station some 43 years after this photograph was taken.
