A 52 ton heavyweight 9F steam engine – #92044 – hauling a big freight train southwards through Peterborough North in 1958. The engine sadly enjoyed a limited “shelf life” being built in 1955 at Crewe and sold off by British Rail just over ten years later in April 1965 from where it was cut-up in July of the same year.
