The Lime Tree, Paston

A pristine looking Lime Tree on Paston Lane probably dating to the late 1930s, soon after its construction.

N Barnes adds , “The “BRAYS” wording on the side of pub relates to the owners Mowbray & Co. Ltd. of Grantham, who were taken over by J. W. Green Ltd. of Luton in March 1952. They, Mowbrays, also owned Peterborough pubs The Crown, Locomotive, Spital Bridge, Durham Ox, Eight Bells, Queen Adelaide, Royal Oak, Swan and White Hart.”
