Two images from similar locations on West End, Langtoft but separated by 95 years …. note the blocked out “bakery” signage on the near building !
The 1914 image shows a group of children posing for the photographer outside of the village post office and bakery. The photo was sold as a promotional postcard by Yorkshire born baker and grocer John Henry Vaux who had traded in the village from the late 1880s.
