Westgate c.1914

A Walton to City Centre tram turns the corner from Lincoln Road, known then as Boroughbury Road, into Westgate for the final leg of its journey.

The journey from Walton to the city centre cost just 2d !

Interesting to note the underground public conveniences sited in the road just to the left of the tram.

The corner shop immediately behind the tram was an undertakers that subsequently became a newsagents until being demolished in recent years.
